MOSCOW, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Four people were injured and three others are presumed trapped after a two-story building under construction partially collapsed in Russia's Far East Sakhalin region, local authorities said Friday.
According to preliminary information, part of the structure in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk gave way while concrete was being poured onto the roof, the Sakhalin regional government said.
All four injured individuals are construction workers and are reported to be in non-serious condition, the regional health department said.
A rescue operation involving 70 personnel and 18 pieces of equipment is underway, according to the regional emergency ministry. Investigators have opened a criminal case into suspected safety violations. ■
