ISTANBUL, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- China has emerged as a key stabilizing force in an increasingly uncertain world by adhering to peaceful development, non-interference and win-win cooperation, a Turkish scholar told Xinhua in a recent interview.

Over the past decades, Beijing has also emphasized economic growth, trade and development abroad, said Dr. Suay Nilhan Acikalin, associate professor from the Department of International Relations of Ankara Haci Bayram Veli University.

"All these Chinese strategies also can be considered as concrete examples of China's coexistence approach contributing to world stability through its non-military approach and commitment to development-led engagement," she said.

Acikalin said China's steady growth and innovation have injected momentum into both domestic and global development. Over the past five years, China has sustained economic growth, while evolving from "the world's factory" into "an innovator and producer of high-value, high-tech, high-quality products."

She also hailed China's development in advanced industries such as high-speed rail, solar energy and electric vehicles, which have enhanced China's competitiveness and bolstered confidence in the global economy.

At a time when global peace and economic stability face mounting challenges, China has acted as "an indispensable supporter of developing countries, especially for the Global South," said Acikalin, noting that the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI) has become one of the cornerstones of China's foreign policy, promoting connectivity through railways, roads, energy pipelines and digital infrastructure across Asia, Africa, Latin America and parts of Europe.

"These projects have supported regional trade and integration as well as connecting developing economies to global markets," she added.

In addition to the BRI, China has supported stability in different regions by helping countries improve access to infrastructure and electricity, as well as reduce poverty, Acikalin said.
