TOKYO, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- Seven people were injured after nine vehicles crashed on a national route in central Japan on Wednesday morning, local media reported.
The pileup happened at around 8:10 a.m. local time near an intersection on the four-lane Route 1 in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Kyodo News reported, citing the local police and fire departments.
Among the injured, a woman in her 50s and a man in his 60s are believed to have been seriously hurt, but no one suffered life-threatening injuries, the report said. ■
