NEW YORK, Nov. 25 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar fell in late trading on Tuesday.
The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.48 percent to 99.664 at 3 p.m. (2000 GMT).
In late New York trading, the euro rose to 1.1584 dollars from 1.1528 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound was up to 1.3213 dollars from 1.3109 dollars in the previous session.
The U.S. dollar bought 155.83 Japanese yen, lower than 156.74 Japanese yen in the previous session. The U.S. dollar fell to 0.8064 Swiss francs from 0.8077 Swiss francs, and it lost to 1.4092 Canadian dollars from 1.4108 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar declined to 9.5181 Swedish kronor from 9.5449 Swedish kronor. ■
