MOSCOW, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Russia will allocate nearly 5 billion rubles (around 64 million U.S. dollars) to investors implementing major projects in the Far Eastern Federal District, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said Monday.
The funds will be provided to 15 organizations carrying out such projects, which range in the fields of logistics, tourism, housing construction and mining, Mishustin was quoted by TASS news agency as saying.
The funds are expected to reimburse entrepreneurs for the construction of utility networks, water and heat supply systems, power transmission lines and connections to these networks, as well as access roads and other infrastructure facilities, he said.
Mishustin noted that such measures must be expanded to encourage investors to launch new facilities and businesses in the strategically important region. ■
