HANOI, Nov. 24 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's Ministry of Education and Training plans to pilot the introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) education in schools starting this December, local daily Dan Tri reported Monday.
The pilot program will cover primary, secondary and high schools nationwide until May 2026, after which the program may be officially implemented following a comprehensive review, the report said.
The curriculum is designed according to each education level, with basic AI education for primary and secondary schools, and career-oriented AI education for high schools.
According to the ministry, AI learning will be integrated into computer science and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) subjects, elective modules, as well as school clubs and extracurricular activities. ■
