KATHMANDU, Nov. 23 (Xinhua) -- Nepal continued to post growth in foreign trade, recording a 24.18 percent year-on-year surge in the first four months of the current 2025-26 fiscal year, a government agency said on Sunday.
The total volume of trade reached 702.94 billion Nepali rupees between mid-July and mid-November, amid a rise in both exports and imports, compared with 566.05 billion rupees during the same period in the previous fiscal year, the Department of Customs said in a report.
Exports jumped 77.51 percent to 93.49 billion rupees, while imports stood at 609.45 billion rupees, a rise of 18.71 percent, the department added. (1 Nepali rupee equals 0.0070 U.S. dollar) ■
