HEFEI, Nov. 21 (Xinhua) -- China's Minister of Housing and Urban-Rural Development Ni Hong on Friday called for intensified efforts in planning, funding, operation, and governance to advance urban renewal in a localized and innovative manner.
Speaking at a national conference on urban renewal held in Wuhu, Anhui Province, Ni stressed developing tailored urban renewal plans and establishing a sustainable financing system for urban construction and operations.
The minister emphasized the importance of creating sustainable operational models and improving both systematic and community-level governance.
He also underscored the need to accelerate the establishment of policy and institutional systems that align with high-quality urban development. ■
