KABUL, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- A total of 152 community development projects, costing more than 2.2 million U.S. dollars, have been implemented and handed over for public use in eastern Afghanistan's Nangarhar province, the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development announced Thursday.
The projects included rural roads, culverts, retaining walls, and irrigation canals.
Afghan authorities have prioritized rural infrastructure and agricultural development programs nationwide as part of broader efforts to address economic hardship, reduce poverty and generate employment opportunities in the country. ■
