BEIJING, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) president Petra Sorling has re-appointed Liu Guoliang as the ITTF deputy president, the global table tennis governing body announced on Monday.
The re-appointment was made during the ITTF Executive Board's first meeting of the new term, which was chaired by Sorling and attended by all eight newly elected executive vice presidents including Liu.
"His experience, his understanding of our sport, and his long-standing commitment to the ITTF are important assets for our organization," Sorling said of Liu's re-appointment.
Liu was elected as the ITTF executive vice president in 2021 and appointed as the ITTF deputy president in 2022.
"I will continue to spare no effort in working with the ITTF president and the Executive Board to promote the development of table tennis on the global sports stage," he said. ■
