WARSAW, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- A section of track on the Warsaw-Lublin rail line was damaged Sunday in what Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk described as an act of sabotage.

"An explosive device detonated and destroyed the railway track," Tusk said Monday on X. He added that additional damage was found on the same line closer to Lublin and that emergency services and prosecutors were on the scene.

Local police said a train driver reported irregularities in the rail infrastructure near the Mika station on Sunday morning. Two passengers and several crew members were on board, and no injuries were reported.

The line remains operational, and trains are moving through the affected area on a single track, said the operator.
