Myanmar's famed Shwedagon Pagoda draws over 5.89 mln visitors in 10 months

YANGON, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- The Shwedagon Pagoda, known as the Golden Pagoda in Myanmar, attracted over 5.89 million visitors in the first 10 months of this year, U Boe Thin, a member of the Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees, told Xinhua on Thursday.

Among them, over 61,000 were foreign visitors, he said.■
