RIO DE JANEIRO, Nov. 12 (Xinhua) -- Veteran forward Deyverson scored a hat-trick as Fortaleza recovered from a two-goal deficit to earn a 3-3 draw at Atletico Mineiro in Brazil's Serie A on Wednesday.
Former Brazil international forward Hulk put the hosts ahead by volleying home at the near post after Rony's cross from the right wing.
Vitor Hugo doubled the lead shortly after, meeting Bernard's corner with a looping header into the top-right corner.
Deyverson pulled a goal back when he latched onto Lucas Gazal's headed flick to prod home from close range.
Atletico restored its two-goal cushion courtesy of Dudu, who capitalized on chaotic defending to rifle a 16-yard effort past goalkeeper Brenno.
But the visitors continued to threaten and Deyverson converted from the penalty spot after Ruan Tressoldi caught Gaston Avila with a forearm to the face during an aerial duel.
Deyverson put his side on level terms in the 93rd minute with a first-time effort from six yards after Eros Mancuso's cross.
The result extended Fortaleza's unbeaten league run to six games but the club remains second-last in the 20-team standings with 31 points. Atletico Mineiro is ninth with 44 points. ■
