JERUSALEM -- Israel said on Sunday forensic test confirmed the remains handed over by Hamas earlier in the day were those of Hadar Goldin, an Israeli soldier killed by the Palestinian group in 2014.

GAZA -- Health authorities in the Gaza Strip on Sunday launched a vaccination campaign targeting children under three years old, aiming to prevent outbreaks of infectious diseases after two years of disrupted immunization services caused by the war.

ANKARA -- Türkiye, together with Qatar, is mediating efforts to resolve the conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Sunday, adding that senior Turkish officials are scheduled to visit Islamabad next week to discuss the tensions.

Erdogan told reporters on his return flight from Azerbaijan that Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, Defense Minister Yasar Guler, and National Intelligence Organization chief Ibrahim Kalin will visit Islamabad in an effort to help end the conflict, according to the semi-official Anadolu Agency. BEIRUT -- Two Hezbollah members were killed Sunday in separate Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.

According to the NNA, an Israeli drone fired two guided missiles at a car near Al-Ma'sarah on the Houmine Al-Fawqa road in Nabatieh district, killing one person. A second strike targeted a pickup truck between Al-Sawwaneh and Khirbet Selm in southeastern Lebanon, killing another.
