HANOI, Nov. 10 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam recorded nearly 18,000 newly established enterprises in October, up 26.5 percent year on year, the Vietnam News Agency reported Monday, citing the National Statistics Office.
These firms had a total registered capital of 172.5 trillion Vietnamese dong (about 6.87 billion U.S. dollars) and employed around 93,600 workers, up 12.3 percent and 16.3 percent, respectively, from the same period last year.
The average registered capital of a newly established enterprise in October was 9.6 billion Vietnamese dong (about 380,000 dollars), down 2.6 percent from the previous month and down 11.2 percent from the same period in 2024. ■
