COLOMBO, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lanka welcomed 32,815 tourists during the first five days of November 2025, bringing the total tourist arrivals so far in 2025 to 1,923,502, according to the latest weekly report from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority.
Tourist arrivals in October stood at 165,193, marking a 21.5 percent increase from 135,907 in October 2024.
So far this year, India remains the largest source of tourists to Sri Lanka, with 431,235 tourists visiting Sri Lanka and is followed by Britain, Russia, Germany, and China.
Sri Lanka received a total of 2.05 million tourists in 2024. ■
