BEIJING, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- Fang Hongwei, secretary of the Xi'an Municipal Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), is under disciplinary and supervisory investigation, an official statement said Friday.
Fang, also a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shaanxi Provincial Committee, is being investigated by the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection (CCDI) of the CPC and the National Commission of Supervision (NCS) for suspected severe violations of disciplines and laws, the CCDI and NCS statement said. ■
