ULAN BATOR, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia exported 56,000 tons of meat and meat products since the beginning of 2025, official data released by the Mongolian Customs General Administration showed on Tuesday.
Currently, the Mongolian government is working to diversify its economy, which is heavily reliant on the mining industry, and to increase the supply of meat and meat products on the global market.
By the end of October 2025, about 58 Mongolian meat processing companies had obtained special export licenses.
According to the National Statistics Office, Mongolia had 57.6 million head of livestock at the end of 2024. ■
