ISLAMABAD, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- At least eight people, including two policemen, were injured in a grenade attack in Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Wednesday, police said.
Ghulam Sarwar Bheo, senior superintendent of police for Nasirabad, told Xinhua that unidentified assailants hurled a grenade at a police vehicle in a busy marketplace, injuring civilians and police personnel.
Following the explosion, a large contingent of police and security forces reached the site and cordoned off the area. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment, Bheo said.
He added that a search operation has been launched to trace and arrest the perpetrators.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack yet. ■
