PHNOM PENH, Oct. 22 (Xinhua) -- A South Korean male tourist had committed suicide in southwest Cambodia's Preah Sihanouk province, said a Preah Sihanouk Provincial Police's news release on Wednesday.
Kim Sangyong, 58, was found dead in his room's bathroom on the second floor of the Queenco Hotel and Casino on Monday evening for unknown reasons, the news release said, adding that after receiving the information, police soon arrived at the scene and looked into the case.
"According to preliminary investigation and examination of the body, the authorities concluded that the victim died of committing suicide by self-strangulation," the news release said.
The body is currently kept at the Technical and Scientific Police Department, it added.
Kim had stayed at the hotel for 11 days before committing suicide, the news release said. ■
