NEW DELHI, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- At least four persons belonging to the same family died and 10 others were injured when a massive fire broke out in a multi-storey residential building in Mumbai, the capital city of India's southwestern state Maharashtra, on Monday night, confirmed the local police on Tuesday.
The fire broke out in an apartment on the 10th floor of Raheja Residency building located in Vashi area of Navi Mumbai, and soon spread to the 11th and 12th floors, said the police.
Firefighters took over four hours to douse the fire.
The cause of the fire was yet to be ascertained. ■
