BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Quality, timely and reliable statistics are vital in guiding Brunei's progress toward achieving Brunei Vision 2035, a senior official said.
Three areas are crucial to strengthening the national data ecosystem, which are: enhancing administrative data through better coordination, accelerating digitalization and the adoption of technologies such as artificial intelligence, and building data capabilities across government, said Hajah May Faezah Ahmad Ariffin, permanent secretary at the Ministry of Finance and Economy, at an event.
"To achieve meaningful outcomes under Brunei Vision 2035, it is imperative that our policies are guided by trustworthy data," she said.
With a strong focus on evidence-based policymaking and whole-of-nation collaboration, Brunei stands ready to navigate the final decade toward realizing Brunei Vision 2035, the official said. ■
