DHAKA -- A blaze that broke out at the cargo village of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Saturday afternoon has been fully brought under control, and flight operations resumed later in the evening, according to the Bangladeshi Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism.

MANILA -- Eight people were killed and two remain missing as tropical storm Fengshen slammed the Philippines on Sunday, the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) said.

KABUL -- The Afghan Ministry of Refugees and Repatriation signed six memorandums of understanding (MoUs) with leading domestic and international aid agencies, the ministry said in a statement Sunday.
