BEIJING, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Amazon's computing service went offline early Monday, causing connectivity issues for companies around the world and disrupting services for several popular websites and apps.
Amazon Web Services (AWS) first reported a problem at 12:11 a.m. Eastern Time (0411 GMT) and said it was dealing with an "operational issue" affecting 14 different services in its center in northern Virginia.
"We can confirm increased error rates and latencies for multiple AWS Services in the US-EAST-1 Region," AWS said in an update on its status page. ■
