HANOI, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam has set a goal of achieving gross domestic product (GDP) growth of 10 percent or higher in 2026, according to a government report presented at the ongoing 10th session of the 15th National Assembly.
The government outlined 15 key socio-economic development targets for next year, including raising per capita GDP to between 5,400 and 5,500 U.S. dollars.
Meanwhile, the government also aims to keep the average consumer price index (CPI) growth at around 4.5 percent, and boost labor productivity by about 8 percent in 2026.
The 10th session of the 15th National Assembly, which opened on Oct. 20 and will run until Dec. 11, is scheduled to discuss a wide range of economic, legislative, and social issues, Vietnam News Agency reported Monday. ■
