KABUL -- At least 17 civilians, including three cricket players, were killed in a Pakistani airstrike in eastern Afghanistan's Paktika province on Friday night, the local TOLOnews reported on Saturday, citing security sources.

NEW DELHI -- At least eight people were killed and 28 others injured, 15 of them critically, on Saturday after a pickup vehicle carrying them skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in the western Indian state of Maharashtra, the state broadcaster All India Radio said.
