ASTANA, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Kazakhstan is developing seven national standards in the field of artificial intelligence (AI), the official Kazinform news agency reported Friday.
At a regional meeting, Zhanna Yesenbekova, chair of the Committee for Technical Regulation and Metrology under the country's Ministry of Trade and Integration, said that the national AI standards are being developed based on documents of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), covering issues of terminology, risk management and AI system architecture.
Yesenbekova noted that Kazakhstan is actively involved in the global digital development agenda.
During the event, attended by ISO Secretary-General Sergio Mujica, it was also announced that a representative from Kazakhstan was appointed ISO regional manager for Russian-speaking countries in Europe and Central Asia. ■
