BEIJING, Oct. 18 (Xinhua) -- Here are the latest Chinese sports headlines from the past week:
1. China dominates Asian Table Tennis Team Championships

China swept both the men's and women's titles with identical 3-0 victories in the finals of the ITTF-ATTU 28th Asian Table Tennis Team Championships in Bhubaneswar, India on October 15.
After edging Japan 3-2 in a dramatic men's semifinal, China carried that momentum into the final against Hong Kong, China, to successfully defend its men's team crown.
In the women's team final, China continued its dominance with a commanding 3-0 win over defending champion Japan. Wang Manyu opened with a 10-12, 11-3, 11-6, 11-3 comeback against Honoka Hashimoto, while world No. 1 Sun Yingsha eased past Miwa Harimoto 11-9, 11-5, 11-7. Kuai Man completed the sweep with an 8-11, 12-10, 11-6, 11-9 win over Hina Hayata.
2. Olympic champ Sheng claims maiden National Games title in men's 10m air rifle
Two-time Olympic champion Sheng Lihao finally added a long-awaited National Games gold to his glittering resume on October 14, winning the men's 10m air rifle final with 254.6 points at China's 15th National Games.
The 20-year-old from Jiangsu, who already owns two Olympic gold medals and a world title, led from start to finish in a star-studded final that included 50m rifle 3 positions Olympic champions Liu Yukun of Shaanxi and Zhang Changhong of Shandong.
The match offered little suspense. Sheng built a two-point cushion heading into the final two shots and maintained control to clinch his first National Games crown. Wang Yutong of Jilin took silver, while Liu claimed bronze.
3. Torch relay for China's 15th National Games to be held in Hong Kong in early November
John Lee, chief executive of China's Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), said on October 14 that the torch relay for the 15th National Games will take place in early November.
China's 15th National Games, along with the 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and the ninth National Special Olympic Games will be co-hosted by Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao in November.
4. 293 Chinese athletes to compete at Asian Youth Games in Bahrain
China on October 13 unveiled a 435-member delegation, including 293 athletes, for the upcoming third Asian Youth Games in Bahrain.
The delegation comprises 148 female and 145 male athletes who will compete in 191 events across 20 sports.
The third Asian Youth Games will be held from October 22 to 31.■
