KUALA LUMPUR, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia's total exports rose 6.7 percent year-on-year to 410.06 billion ringgit (97.04 billion U.S. dollars) in the third quarter, official data showed Friday.
The Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM) said in a statement that the encouraging economic performance led to a 2.8 percent rise in total trade during the quarter.
However, Malaysia's imports during the quarter amounted to 359.8 billion ringgit, a decrease of 2.1 percent as compared to the same period in 2024.
As for the first nine months, Malaysia's total trade reached 2.2 trillion ringgit, marking a year-on-year increase of 4.4 percent. (1 ringgit equals 0.24 U.S. dollars) ■
