HONG KONG, Oct. 17 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.1 jolted 0 km WSW of Union, Philippines at 23:03:16 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 69.0 km, was initially determined to be at 9.76 degrees north latitude and 126.11 degrees east longitude. ■
