BUDAPEST, Oct. 14 (Xinhua) -- Hungary's economy is expected to grow by 0.6 percent in 2025 and 2.1 percent in 2026, according to the International Monetary Fund's latest World Economic Outlook released on Tuesday.
The projection is slightly below the government's 0.7 percent estimate for this year.
The IMF's outlook also contrasts with the government's more optimistic forecast of 3.1 percent gross domestic product (GDP) growth for 2026.
The Fund expects the country's average annual inflation to reach 4.5 percent in 2025 before easing to 3.5 percent in 2026. ■
