KABUL, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities initiated three development projects worth 34 million afghani (about 524,000 U.S. dollars) in the central Afghanistan Bamiyan province on Sunday, provincial governor Mawlawi Abdullah Sarhadi said Monday.
Financed by the Bamiyan Municipality, the projects, which include asphalting city roads, illuminating streets, building a recreational park and constructing water supply networks, would be completed within two months, the official added.
Launching the projects would also create job opportunities for people, the official further said. ■
