ISTANBUL, Oct. 13 (Xinhua) -- Turkish Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya announced on Monday that 274 suspects had been detained in a five-day nationwide operation targeting cybercrimes, including illegal betting, unlawful money transfers, online child pornography and harassment, and fraud.

According to Yerlikaya, 59 suspects were arrested, 123 were placed under judicial control, and investigations are ongoing for the rest following the operation, which spanned 25 provinces including Istanbul, Ankara, Bursa, Antalya, and Diyarbakir.

The operation also led to the seizure of 10 cryptocurrency cold wallets, seven vehicles worth 73 million Turkish liras (1.75 million U.S. dollars), and seven property deeds, he said.

The operation was coordinated by the Department for Cybercrime and the Financial Crimes Investigation Board.
