BERLIN, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- Several people were wounded on Saturday after gunfire erupted at a market square in the central German city of Giessen, Germany's news outlet DPA reported, citing a police spokesman.
The incident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. (1300 GMT), and the suspect remains at large. But police do not believe there is an ongoing threat to the public, it said. ■
