BUENOS AIRES, Oct. 7 (Xinhua) -- Palmeiras forward Ramon Sosa has been ruled out of Paraguay's friendlies against Japan and South Korea due to a thigh problem.
The 26-year-old sustained the injury in Palmeiras' 3-2 victory over Sao Paulo in Brazil's Serie A on Sunday.
"Ramon was diagnosed with a muscle edema in his left thigh and has begun treatment," read a statement on the club's official website.
The Paraguayan football association did not immediately name a replacement for the winger.
Paraguay, which has qualified for next year's FIFA World Cup, will meet Japan in Suita on Friday and South Korea in Seoul four days later. ■
