HANOI, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam consumer price index (CPI) rose by 3.27 percent in the first nine months of 2025, Vietnam News Agency reported Monday, citing the National Statistics Office (NSO).

The main drivers behind the increase were higher costs in education, healthcare, food and housing, including electricity, water, fuel and construction materials, the report said.

In September alone, the CPI rose 0.42 percent from the previous month and increased 3.38 percent from the same period last year, according to the office.

Core inflation in the nine-month period went up 3.19 percent, slightly lower than the overall CPI increase, the NSO reported.
