MIES, Switzerland, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Tickets for the 2026 Women's Basketball World Cup are now on sale, the sport's global governing body FIBA announced Wednesday.
The tournament will tip off in Berlin, Germany from September 4 to 13, with 16 teams expected to compete.
Tickets for the Final Phase, which features 12 games, are available, including Final Weekend passes covering both semifinals, the third-place game and the championship.
"With less than 12 months to go and tickets going on sale for the Final Phase, the countdown to the FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup 2026 is becoming ever more exciting," FIBA Secretary General Andreas Zagklis said in a statement.
Additional tickets will be released in November, including day passes for the Final Phase, premium tickets, Team Germany group phase packages and limited courtside offers.
The 16-team field will be finalized after the qualifying tournaments in March. The draw for those qualifiers will be held at FIBA headquarters on October 7. ■
