TASHKENT, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan exported textile products worth about 1.7 billion U.S. dollars in the first eight months of 2025, the National Statistics Committee said in a statement on Tuesday.
Textiles accounted for 7.3 percent of total exports, the statement noted.
In the January-August period, Uzbekistan produced textile products worth 58.5 trillion soums (about 4.84 billion dollars), an increase of 6.3 percent year-on-year, it added. The volume of textile production amounted to 8.9 percent of the country's total industrial output.
According to the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover reached 51.4 billion dollars in the first eight months of 2025, up 19.8 percent year-on-year. ■
