ZAGREB, Oct. 1 (Xinhua) -- Croatia's annual inflation rate rose to 4.2 percent in September, making it the Eurozone country with the second-highest price growth, according to the Croatian Bureau of Statistics and Eurostat data.

In September, services increased by 6 percent year-on-year, while prices of food, beverages and tobacco rose by 5.6 percent. Energy prices also climbed by 4.5 percent, the CBS said.

By comparison, the annual consumer price growth across the Eurozone stood at 2.2 percent in September, and only Estonia recorded higher inflation rates than Croatia, according to Eurostat.

Croatian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Marko Primorac has said that the government is committed to lowering the annual inflation.
