TASHKENT, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan received 7.5 million foreign tourists in the first eight months of 2025, up 49.1 percent year on year, the National Statistics Committee said Monday.
Kyrgyzstan was the largest source of tourists with over 2.16 million visitors, followed by Kazakhstan with 1.76 million and Tajikistan with 1.69 million, the committee said.
In January-July, foreign tourist arrivals had already surged 48.9 percent from a year earlier, according to a report by the committee in August. ■
