KABUL, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- More than 14,800 foreign nationals have visited Afghanistan over the first 6 months of the year, reported the state-run Radio and Television of Afghanistan on Monday.
Citing the country's National Statistics and Information Authority, the state-owned media outlet said that a total of 14,829 foreign nationals visited Afghanistan in the first six months of the year via airports and land routes.
Out of these, a total of 1,315 individuals were tourists who visited historical sites and monuments, while the remaining entered the country to pursue jobs and education, according to the report. ■
