ISLAMABAD -- At least eight people were killed and three others injured in a road accident in Panjgur district of Pakistan's southwest Balochistan province on Saturday, a rescue official told Xinhua.

According to a Rescue 1122 official, a pickup truck carrying fuel collided with a passenger bus on the main highway in Gomazin area of the district. (Pakistan-Death-Accident)

BUCHAREST -- Six infants died and three others were infected after a bacterial outbreak at a children's hospital called "Sfanta Maria" in Romania's northeastern Iasi city, the country's Health Ministry said Friday.

The ministry confirmed that nine patients under the age of one had contracted the Serratia marcescens bacteria, but stressed that a direct medical link between the infections and the deaths has not yet been established. UNITED NATIONS -- The United Nations Security Council on Friday failed to adopt a resolution that would have extended the 2015 Iran nuclear deal for six months to allow time for diplomacy.

The draft resolution, tabled by China and Russia, received four votes in favor, nine votes against and two abstentions, falling short of the nine positive votes required for adoption. (UN-Iran-Sanctions)

NEW DELHI -- At least five persons, including three women, died and one was seriously injured when the vehicle they were travelling in met with an accident in India's northern state of Haryana early on Saturday.

The mishap occurred in Haryana's Gurugram district, on the Delhi-Jaipur national highway. Gurugram Police spokesman Sandeep Kumar said the accident occurred at around 4:30 a.m. local time. (India-Road Accident)
