HANOI, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's fruit and vegetable exports are estimated at up to 6.11 billion U.S. dollars in the first nine months of 2025, up 8.3 percent year on year, Vietnam News Agency reported Friday, citing the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment.
In September alone, exports reached nearly 1.29 billion U.S. dollars, the highest monthly value ever recorded, representing a surge of 36 percent month on month and 41 percent year on year, the report said.
With the strong momentum, the sector is expected to approach or even exceed 8 billion U.S. dollars in export turnover by the end of the year, according to the report.
The ministry has urged the industry to further strengthen its presence in major markets, particularly those with free trade agreements such as Japan, South Korea, the European Union and China. ■
