KABUL, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Afghanistan's trade volume reached 6.783 billion U.S. dollars in the past six months with a 30-percent increase year-on-year, local media outlet TOLOnews reported on Thursday.
The country's primary export commodities include raisins, figs, cotton, apricots, saffron, pistachios, grapes, beverages, and other agricultural products, TOLOnews quoted Akhundzada Abdul Salam Jawad, spokesperson for the Ministry of Industry and Commerce, as saying.
These goods are primarily exported to China, India, Pakistan, the United Arab Emirates, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan and Iraq, according to the official.
Exports during this period totaled 748 million dollars, up 9 percent year-on-year, according to the report. ■
