TASHKENT, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Uzbekistan's economy is estimated to continue its growth trajectory in 2025, according to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) on Thursday.
"The EBRD projects that Uzbekistan's economy will grow by 6.7 percent in 2025 and 6.0 percent in 2026," EBRD said in a statement.
According to the statement, Uzbekistan's economic growth will be underpinned by robust domestic consumption and investments, as well as by sustained expansion in diversified manufacturing, bolstered by continued foreign investment.
As noted, Uzbekistan's economic growth accelerated in the first half of 2025, with real gross domestic product expanding by 7.2 percent year on year.
Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced earlier this week that Uzbekistan aims to join the ranks of upper-middle-income countries by 2030. ■
