JAKARTA, Sept. 24 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's largest motorcycle exhibition, the Indonesia Motorcycle Show (IMOS) 2025, opened Wednesday at ICE BSD City in Tangerang Regency, Banten Province, and will run until Sept. 28.
"We hope that IMOS 2025 will showcase the latest innovations in two-wheeled vehicles while also highlighting the importance of building a safe, sustainable, and affordable transportation system for the public," said Deputy Minister of Industry Faisol Riza.
Last year's exhibition recorded transactions worth up to 70 billion rupiah (around 4.5 million U.S. dollars). This year, the government is aiming for an even higher figure and expects the event to further strengthen the national automotive industry ecosystem.
Johannes Loman, chairman of the Indonesian Motorcycle Industry Association, noted that motorcycle technology continues to evolve, covering not only new models but also supporting technologies.
The exhibition spans 15,000 square meters and features 21 motorcycle brands, including six electric-based, along with more than 50 supporting industries such as accessories, lubricants, and digital applications. ■
