MOSCOW, Sept. 23 (Xinhua) -- The Kremlin on Tuesday dismissed a suggestion from the Danish side that Russia might have been involved in a drone incident at Copenhagen Airport.
"Each time unfounded accusations are made, this only causes further claims to be ignored," Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said when answering a question about statements alleging Russia's role in the incident.
"Perhaps a party that takes a serious, responsible stance shouldn't repeatedly make such unfounded accusations," the spokesman said, adding that all recent allegations against Russia concerning border violations have not been backed by credible evidence.
Copenhagen's Kastrup Airport suspended operations for around four hours on Monday evening due to a drone incident, affecting approximately 20,000 passengers. Delays and cancellations continued into Tuesday.
Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen described the incident as "a serious attack" on the country's critical infrastructure and said that Russia's involvement could not be ruled out. ■
