BEIRUT -- Five people, including three children, were killed and two others injured on Sunday afternoon when an Israeli drone strike hit a motorcycle and a passing car in the southern Lebanese city of Bint Jbeil, health and security sources said.
Lebanon's Public Health Emergency Operations Center confirmed the casualties. According to Lebanese army intelligence, the drone fired two guided missiles, killing Hezbollah member Mohammad Mroueh on the motorcycle and four civilians in the nearby car. (Lebanon-Israeli strike)

TRIPOLI -- Heavy clashes erupted Sunday in Janzour, about 12 km west of Libya's capital of Tripoli, between rival armed groups aligned with Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbeibah's Government of National Unity (GNU), local media reported.

JERUSALEM -- The Israeli government on Sunday announced the establishment of a special national council for artificial intelligence (AI), the Finance Ministry said in a statement.
The AI council will be established as a support unit at the Prime Minister's Office, with a budget of 120 million shekels (about 35.9 million U.S. dollars) for the 2025-2026 period. (Israel-AI council-Innovation) ■
