TONGLING, Sept. 20 (Xinhua) -- During the autumn harvest, ginger farmers in Tongling City, east China's Anhui Province are busy harvesting and processing a local specialty -- Tongling white ginger. The Tongling white ginger production technique, which has been practiced for over 2,000 years in the region, was recognized by the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization as a Globally Important Agricultural Heritage System in 2023.
