MOSCOW -- A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck off the eastern coast of the Kamchatka Peninsula, Russia, the local geophysical service said on Thursday.
The quake occurred at 1858 GMT with its epicenter located about 149 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the regional capital, at a depth of 39 km, according to the Kamchatka branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences' Geophysical Survey. (Russia-Kamchatka-quake)

SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group said it launched a long-range "hypersonic ballistic missile" and three drones on three cities in Israel on Thursday night.
In a televised statement aired by Houthi-run al-Masirah TV, the group's military spokesman Yahya Sarea said the missile targeted a military target in the city of Jaffa (Tel Aviv), while the three drones hit targets in the city of Beer Sheva and the port city of Eilat. (Yemen-Israel-Missile)

BEIRUT -- The Israeli army carried out several airstrikes Thursday evening across southern Lebanon, targeting villages including Mays el Jabal, Dibbine, and Kfar Tebnit, the National News Agency (NNA) reported.
